48 Years of Quality Education
Here at Roseland, we continue to work and serve in the same spirit, based on our founder’s thought, vision, and commitment. While education costs have skyrocketed in Jalgaon, we continue to keep the cost of education affordable at Roseland.
2022A Message from the President's Desk
It gives me immense joy and pleasure as I reach out to you through this message. I am Mrs. Khimani’s daughter Rosemeen, a Roselander, a past teacher in the school, and now the President at the New Era Education Society that was founded in 1974. I am witness to the founder, my mother's hard work and untiring efforts to bring the dream of Roseland to reality. Let's continue to value the opportunity to learn and grow here, the opportunity to nurture and groom at Roseland.
Let’s begin the 2022-23 academic year with renewed zeal and enthusiasm, as the students get back to school after challenges from the COVID-19 pandemic. We urge you all to protect yourselves and others by bringing and wearing masks as needed.
Together, we will reach new heights. We have expanded our programming this year to include art, sports, creative writing, and public speaking. We strongly encourage our students to take advantage of our online courses, which are taught by English grammar and public speaking mentors and teachers in the United States!
We wish all the students the very best this year and we hope you succeed at everything you do!
Yours truly,
Mrs. Rosemeen Khimani Pradhan
President, New Era Education Society
THE Roseland Academy, USA
The SANROSE Foundation’s Roseland Academy is a nonprofit based in Tallahassee, Florida in the United States. Founded by Coach Rosemeen Khimani Pradhan, Roseland Academy honors the memory of her mother, Mrs. D.S. Khimani, who was the founder, president, and principal of Roseland English and Marathi Medium Schools in Jalgaon, Maharashtra, India.
Roseland Academy provides a nurturing learning environment for students in grades 4 through 10, preparing them to master the art of public speaking. The program instills empathy and confidence, develops research skills, and improves communications skills.
Since 2008, Roseland Academy has mentored hundreds of students in Tallahassee and has reached out to the State of Maharashtra through the “Mohara Project,” where several American volunteers work with students from schools and villages online in the Jalgaon and Aurangabad districts.
Roseland’s public speaking program runs for four months and culminates with a final presentation from all participants. Students choose a topic that is personal to them, research and develop a speech, and rehearse performance regularly. Through this process, students understand the importance of proper vocabulary, grammar, and writing to create powerful and memorable speeches.
Once students have researched and written their speeches, the focus turns to improving performance through strong eye contact, good posture, and clear diction. This leads to more confidence and better self-esteem among students.
To emphasize the value of public speaking in any career, Roseland Academy invites community leaders from various industries to share their public speaking experiences with the program participants.
The classes are conducted in an encouraging environment, where kids are taught to be supportive and to practice active listening. We encourage collaboration and discussion. Students are motivated to participate in group discussions, offer peer feedback, and engage in fun warm-up activities and games to keep every class entertaining and instructive.
By design, Roseland Academy has set up the final presentation in a non-competitive format to reduce performance-based anxiety and pressure to excel. The final presentation is a showcase of growth and skill, and all participants receive a certificate of completion.
We look forward to welcoming each and every Roselander!
Sincerely,
Rosemeen Khimani Pradhan

My name is Saniya Pradhan. I'm a 2017 graduate of the international baccalaureate program and a 2022 graduate of Florida International University studying International relations and French language. The IB program prepared me for college level courses and helped me to become a strong verbal and written communicator. Additionally, the IB program required me to interact with my community and step into different leadership positions. Since my graduation, I have benefited from these skills in and out of the classroom. I will be coming to India this fall with a team of like-minded volunteers to help share our knowledge and participate in a cultural exchange with the students, in order to help prepare them for the rest of their educational journey.
